Abstract
|
|
|
It is now possible to say that sudden infant death syndrome is a real disease, not a vague mysterious killer. There were believers and non-believers in the existence of anything like sudden and unexpected death in infancy, but it would seem self-evident.
In these days, this disease entity may well be considered a public health problem of major magnitude.
It is the purpose of this review to apprise practitioners in pediatrics and pathology, as well as investigators in this fields, of the relevant research endeavors.
